I was raised as a Roman Catholic. I believed in my Roman Catholic faith but fell away from the Church with issues not relating to my faith. I had moved to Montreal, Canada with my business and returned to Newport Beach with my wife from Montreal, who was raised in the Anglican Church.  She went with her mother to find an Anglican Church and found All Saints Church in Fountain Valley.

After a few years, her mother died and I decided to give her support by going with her to All Saints.  What a shock for me to find an English liturgy with Holy Communion, exactly as I had growing up, and such a welcoming congregation.  There were no problems with the issues that took me away from the Roman Catholic Church and I was really happy to receive Holy Communion again.

I was raised in the Anglican Church in Montreal, Canada. When I moved to Newport Beach with my husband. I went with her mother to find an Anglican Church. All Saints Church in Fountain Valley fit the bill.

We found a very welcoming congregation and felt at home with the church. My husband, a former Roman Catholic, decided to join us and was really happy to receive Holy Communion again. All Saints is now our home and the congregation is our extended family.

All Saints Church has been my religious haven for 41 years. Traditional biblical worship feeds my soul, giving purpose to my life. Traditional hymns reinforce God’s love and grace. Our small church family supports each other and helps in the local community.

All Saints Church is a peaceful haven in a busy world. It is a small church and congregation, with a big heart and welcoming arms. Father Enn is compassionate and kind. His sermons are engaging and thoughtful, weaving history with present day events and the word of God.

How I came to All Saints:

On a Sunday morning in the Spring of 2011, just before Easter, my daily two-mile walk took me past a little country church that I had been eying for the past 40 years. I had not been attending church for quite some time, as I was a divorced and remarried Roman Catholic; but I had been attending a non-denominational Bible Study. My discussion leader had emphasized that Bible Study was not a substitute for a home church, so I was intrigued by this charming little church.

As I walked by, I saw a kindly-looking gentlemen sitting by the front door of the church. I stopped to chat, and was invited inside. The service had just ended, and parishioners were gathered for conversation and refreshments. I was struck by the beauty and history of All Saints, and by the warmth and friendliness of the people I met that day. Another big plus was that the liturgy and Communion service were very familiar to me! I have always felt at home at All Saints!

When I first visited All Saints Church I knew instantly I had come home.  The lovely little landmark church is cozy and welcoming.  I had always felt a longing for the 1928 Prayer Book of my childhood, and here I found it. It’s a beautiful and organized liturgy. Father Auksmann is a gifted speaker, well-versed in all aspects of Christian history, as well as human nature, with a subtle but pointed sense of humor. My All Saints’ family has changed my life, very much for the better. I look forward to the time I spend with them.
